As the representative for California's 34th Assembly District, Vince Fong is dedicated to improving the lives of those in Kern County, including the communities of Bakersfield, Bear Valley Springs, China Lake, Frazier Park, Golden Hills, Inyokern, Lebec, Oildale, Ridgecrest, Taft, and Tehachapi.
Vince began his career with Congressman Bill Thomas, working on international trade policies to benefit American farmers and small businesses. He then returned to Kern County to serve as the district director for Congressman Kevin McCarthy, where he managed public policy issues and worked to create jobs, improve the quality of life, and make commonsense reforms.
In addition to focusing on energy independence and job growth in California, Vince has also brought attention to the issue of Valley Fever through the Valley Fever Symposium and has fought to reduce taxes, regulations, and government overreach in order to foster a successful economy and good-paying jobs. As a board member for the Jim Burke Education Foundation and Honor Flight Kern County, Vince also works to send WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans to visit their memorials in Washington D.C.
A lifelong resident of Kern County, Vince holds a bachelor's degree from UCLA and a master’s from Princeton University.
