John Dennis

John Dennis hails from Jersey City, where he grew up in one of the city’s toughest public housing projects.

His father worked as a longshoreman, and his mother was a city hall clerk and Democrat Committeewoman.

He attended Fordham University, where he was elected student body president and graduated in 1985 with a degree in business administration, with concentrations in finance and marketing.

After college, John became the second employee and eventually a partner at Humanscale, a top-10 design firm known for its office furniture.

He also worked in the tech industry during the dot-com era.

For the past 20 years, John has been a real estate developer and currently serves as the Chairman of the San Francisco Republican Party, a position he has held since 2008.

He has also been a delegate to the CAGOP since 2010 and a member of the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLC) since 2010, holding various leadership positions and currently serving as Vice Chairman on the National Board of the RLC.

John, his wife Heather, and their daughter Devan reside in the Pacific Heights neighborhood in San Francisco, where John has been a resident for 30 years.
